- Description
- Enables G protein-coupled estrogen receptor activity and steroid binding activity. Involved in several processes, including cellular response to estradiol stimulus; negative regulation of oocyte maturation; and positive regulation of macromolecule metabolic process. Acts upstream of or within several processes, including embryonic cranial skeleton morphogenesis; regulation of vitellogenesis; and swimming behavior. Located in plasma membrane. Is expressed in several structures, including blastomere; liver; nervous system; olfactory region; and pleuroperitoneal region. Orthologous to human GPER1 (G protein-coupled estrogen receptor 1).
