- Description
- Contributes to transcription cis-regulatory region binding activity. Acts upstream of or within several processes, including cell surface receptor protein serine/threonine kinase signaling pathway; determination of bilateral symmetry; and positive regulation of BMP signaling pathway. Part of SMAD protein complex. Is expressed in several structures, including gut; head; pectoral fin bud; and yolk syncytial layer. Orthologous to human MGA (MAX dimerization protein MGA).
