Effect of 6-gingerol on npas4 and bdnf mRNA expression in the PTZ-treated zebrafish larvae. After a 22 h incubation in 6-gingerol (37.5 μM), zebrafish larvae were exposed to PTZ (20 mM) for 60 min. Next, zebrafish larvae were collected in a pool of n = 10/sample. mRNA levels were normalized against 18S and b2m. Data were analyzed using one–way ANOVA with Tukey’s post hoc test: (A), F(3, 19) = 32.12, p < 0.0001; (B), F(3, 18) = 6.403, p = 0.0038.
