Term Name: MANT-GTP
Synonyms: 2'(3')-O-(N-methyl)anthraniloylguanosine 5'-triphosphate
Definition: A mixture of 2'-O-(N-methylanthraniloyl)guanosine triphosphate (2'-MANT-GTP; R1 = N-methylanthraniloyl and R2 = H) and 3'-O-(N-methylanthraniloyl)gluanosine triphosphate ((3'-MANT-GTP; R1 = H and R2 = N-methylanthraniloyl). At neutral pH, the isomers are in equilibrium. Used as a fluorescent guanine nucleotide analogue, particularly for kinetic analysis of enzymes and signaling proteins.
